Mark Szymanski began playing dek hockey at the age of 8. His first league experience was at the boys and girls club in Carnegie, PA.
The league was in a basketball gym and didn’t even require shin guards. I remember I would get really mad when we lost and my dad would be disappointed that I was being a poor sport.
Came to tp in cadet years. Should have been there earlier but didn’t know about it. Played well from the start.

Late 2013 was my first freshman year -cancelled I think
Steve Gregory asked me to play on the travel team freshman gods. I turned it down multiple times. This was definitely a turning point in my career.
Finally opted in late freshman and played for the jokers. Not great
I spent many hours at local rinks playing pickup and shooting around by myself. I could do it for hours. I bought a winwell shooter tutor and would play all the time Created Pick Up group
As early as Fall 2014
I met some guys and they had a team at dekstar called #hockey. July 2015 champions
Started playing at cdh more because of better management.
Moved to cdh in Summer 2015 because of better management. Played there heavily for 2 years there
Dan told me about it in May. Pretty pointless
The dekstar location was bought out by the cdh owner and I moved back to playing primarily
His most serious injury came on March 14, 2017, when his left thumb was broken from a slash.
Asked to play with blitz in murrysville League in January 2019

-In April 2021, Szymanski began playing in the National Ball Hockey League (NBHL) for the Pittsburgh Pioneers.
Following the 2021 season, Szymanski was released by the Pittsburgh Pioneers and joined the Inner City Guardians.
